The person moving to help his Momin brothers is like the person who is walking between Safa and Marwa.

•  Do not appreciate one’s affection before you enrage him three times.

•  Do not trust your friend perfectly, because the knockdown of the trustful is incurable.

•  Islam is a definite rank. Faith is one rank higher than Islam. Conviction is one rank higher than faith.

•  The desire for the worldly pleasures causes grief and sadness. Abstinence from the worldly pleasures brings about the rest of both heart and body.

•  Shaking hands is the perfect greeting of the resident and embracement is the perfect greeting of the traveller.

•  A Muslim always has three characteristics: knowledge about the religion, good management of life, and perseverance in the faces of calamities.

•  An actual believer is that whose sexual appetite does not overcome him and whose stomach does not shame him.

•  Enjoining good and forbidding evil should be practiced with a faithful believer that he would learn a lesson, or an ignorant that he would earn.

•  Enjoining good and forbidding evil become surely worthless when they are applied to the powerful tyrants.

•  Misfortunes that inflicted them, Allah changed the misfortunes into graces.

•  Imam al-Sadiq(A) was asked about personality, he answered: Personality stands for that Allah should not see you in situations against which He warned, and miss you in situations of which He ordered.

•  Thank him who did you favour, and confer upon him who thanked you. Graces that are shown gratitude will not be removed while those that are shown ingratitude will not persist. Thanks increase the graces and saves against poverty.

Janabe Zainab(A), the daughter of Imam Ali(A) and Khatune Jannat Janabe Fatima Zahra(A), was the Greatest Messenger of the Husaini Revolution presented in the land of Karbala.  Janabe Zainab(A) who universalized the message of Husaini Revolution and  laid the foundation of Azadari of Imam Husain(A), was born in the holy city of Madinah on 5th Jamadi-ul-Awwal in the 5th year of Hijrah/627 A.D.

Janabe Zainab(A) became famous for her knowledge of the Holy Qu’ran and virtuous life.  In her character, she reflected the best of attributes.  In sobriety and serenity she was likened to Umm-al-Mumineen Hadhrat Khadija(A), her noble grand-mother and in chastity and modesty, to her holy mother Janabe Fatima Zahra(A) and in eloquence to her father, our Ist Imam Ali(A).

Janabe Zainab(A) proclaimed to the world the greatest sacrifices made by Imam Husain(A) and other members of the family of the Holy Prophet(S) who were brutally martyred at Karbala in 61 A.H by the satanic and evil Yazidi  forces.

Janabe Zainab(A) was martyred on 15th Rajab 62 A.H., at the age of 57 years, in Damascus (Syria) by the ruling Umayyad caliph. She was buried in Damascus and her magnificent holy shrine is visited every year by millions of lovers of Holy Ahlul Bayt(A) from all over the world.

On this sad occasion of the Wafat of Hadhrat Zainab bint Ali(A) we extend our heartfelt condolences to all the lovers of the Holy Ahlul Bayt(A) throughout  the world.

Hazrat Ali Asghar  was the youngest child of imam Hussain(A). He was born only a few weeks before imam left Madina. His mother’s name was Rubab(A), daughter of Imra’u'l Qais who was the chief of the tribe of Kinda. Rubaab had two children, Sakina(A) and Ali Asghar(A) She and her two children accompanied imam to karbala. The fact that imam took with him a newly born baby further demonstrates the prestige of H. Ali Asghar(A).

At karbala, Asghar was only six months old. From the seventh Muharram there was no water in imam’s camp. Asghar was in great pain because of thirst. On Ashura day, after Ali Akber had been martyred, imam Hussain was standing outside the camp. He was left all alone and he was preparing to go into the battlefield. Just then he heard a child cry. It was Ali Asghar, tormented by the pangs of hunger and thirst.

Imam walked into Bibi Rubab’s tent. He lifted the child from the cradle. “Rubab,” he said, “I will take him to Yazeed’s army. Surely they can not possibly deny this little infant a few drops of water?” Rubab changed Ali Asghar’s clothes. She even tied a small turban on his head. Like any other mother she wanted her son to look at his best in front of strangers.

Imam Hussain carried the child to the battle field. Walking up to Yazeed’s soldiers imam Hussain said, “This child has done you no harm. He is dying of thirst. I am asking for a few drops of water for him.”There was no response. imam said, “If you are afraid that when you bring Asghar any water I will drink it, look, I will put him on the ground and you can come yourself and give him water.” He put the child on the sands of karbala and moved a couple of steps back. You can imagine how hot the desert sand was. Asghar lay there not even wincing. He turned towards the enemy and stared at them. A murmur arose among the soldiers but no one came forward to give water to the baby. imam took Asghar in his arms and in a clear voice said, “Asghar, my son, show them how thirsty you are!” Asghar turned his head towards the soldiers. He smiled sweetly. Opened his mouth. Brought out his dry tongue and moved it over his lips. The ultimate sword had been unsheathed !

The soldiers were so moved by this that they could be heard sobbing. Still, they were very afraid of Yazeed and none dared come forward to give water to Ali Asghar. Umar Sa’ad was worried. It seemed that Asghar was emerging victorious in this confrontation against the might of yazid. He looked at Hurmala, a famous archer, and said, “Silence Hussain!” Then a terrible thing happened. Hurmala lifted his bow. Aimed an arrow at the child. The arrow flew across the hot desert. There was a hissing sound. Asghar smiled. He lifted his head and arched his neck!! No civilized mind can even imagine what happened next. The hissing sound stopped and Asghar lay still on his father’s arms.

Imam Hussain looked down at Asghar’s neck, he saw the arrow, he saw the neck, he saw the smile and then he could see no more!!! Our imam began to feel faint. For a moment everything went dark. He could not see! There was a total silence over karbala, broken only by the sound of the gentle waves of Furaat. Even the enemy appeared stunned. Slowly Hussain turned round and now looked at the baby in his arms. The arrow had passed through the tender neck and lodged in imam Hussain’s shoulder.  He looked at the sky, and prayed “Ya Allah, give me the courage in this most difficult moment of my life. No Prophet ever was subjected to a test as severe as this.”

THUS THE YOUNGEST CHILD OF HUSSAIN(A) BECAME THE GREATEST MARTYR OF KARBALA

Hadhrat Abu Talib(A) supported the Holy Prophet of Islam(S) in all difficult situations He left this world on 26th Rajab, three years before the Hijrah of the Holy Prophet of Islam(S)

The Holy Prophet of Islam(S) was deeply grieved and named this year as “The Year of Sadness”.

In 570 A.D. the Abyssinian Armies under the leadership of Abraha attacked the Holy Mecca to demolish the Kaaba. Abdul-Muttalib, our Master Muhammad’s (S) grandfather, the Master of Makkah, went round the Kaaba praying to Allah, the Almighty, to prevent the invaders from demolishing the House which Ibraheem al-Khaleel(A) and his son Ismael(A) built for people to worship Allah only. Allah, the Almighty, accepted Abdul-Muttallib’s prayers.

So, when the elephants and the soldiers advanced to demolish the Kaaba, Ababil birds carrying stones in their beaks appeared in the horizon. They began dropping the stones which destroyed the army of Abraha.  So, the invaders around the Kaaba were defeated.  That year was named the Year of the Elephant.  Hadhrat Abu-Talib(A) was thirty years of age. Allah, the Almighty, has mentioned this event in the Holy Koran:* In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful ‘Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with the possessors of the elephant?  Did he not cause their war to end in confusion* And send down (to prey) upon them birds in flocks, casting them against stones of backed clay* So, he rendered them like straw eaten up?’

When Hadhrat Abu-Talib(A) was over eighty years of age, he became very ill and was confined to bed. He thought about nothing but our Master Muhammad(S). He knew that after his death, the Quraish would fear no one and they would try their best to kill his nephew. The Quraishi leaders even came to visit Shaikh al-Batha (title given to Hadhrat Abu Talib(A)). They said: Abu-Talib, you’re our Shaikh and Master.  Put an end to the enmity between your nephew and us. Tell him to stop hurting us.  We’ll stop hurting him. Tell him to leave us with our religion. We’ll leave him with his religion.

Abu-Talib (A) looked at Abu-Jahl, Abu-Sufyan, and other Quraishi leaders and said to them faintly: If you listen to Muhammad’s words and obey his orders, you’ll be happy. So, obey him and get happiness in here and hereafter. The atheists and infidels stood up. Abu-Jahl said with spite: Do you want us to make the gods one god?  Abu-Talib was sad at the Quraishi stand.  He was very anxious about our Master Muhammad’s safety. So, he invited Bani-Hashim and asked them to support our Master Muhammad(S) at any cost. They all agreed.  Then Abu-Talib closed his eyes to die soundly. Shaikh al-Batha became silent, he became motionless.  His son Ali(A) wept bitter tears. Sad cries spread all over Makkah.

The atheists rejoiced at his death. Abu-Jahl angrily said: It’s time to get my revenge on Muhammad. Our Master Muhammad(S) came to say his final farewell to his uncle.  He kissed Abu-Talib’s bright forehead and murmured sadly: Uncle, may Allah have mercy on you. You guided me when I was young, looked after me when I became an orphan, and supported me when I was growing-up.  May Allah reward you a lot. Then he burst into tears. He began recalling the days of his childhood with his kind uncle. He embraced his cousin Ali(A). They began weeping together……..Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Rajiun.
