Imam Mahdi(AJ)

Islamic Song - The Children of Palestine Are Calling You!

I am just flabbergasted at the silence of the Arab and Muslim World on this genocide that is being unleashed on the Palestinians in Gaza.  Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia should be cursed daily; the government of those countries are traitors – not just to the Arabs and Muslims; but indeed to humanity itself.

There are children being murdered; massacred.  There are Weapons of Mass Destruction being used – the entire world hammered down on Saddam’s Iraq on merely the rumor that he may have some Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Now Israel; the single cause of massive instability in the entire world; is raining these weapons – including DIME (Dense Inert Metal Explosive), Cluster Bombs, White Phosphorous, Depleted Uranium Shells, and God only knows what else – onto the innocent population of Gaza – the most densely populated place on the Earth.  A place that has been referred to as an open air prison and a massive concentration camp.

The western world were so ashamed after the attrocities committed in Auchwitz; they vowed they would never let such an attrocity happen again – but here we are again; we’ve had so many since – and each time the world has done nothing:

We’ve had Sebrenica, and other camps in the Balkans; the world kept quiet for a very long time; we’ve had the massacres in Rwanda, the world kept quiet and was impotent and couldn’t do anything; and now we have Gaza; and the world sleeps again.

Those who swore they would never let another Auchwitz happen; are nothing more than liars and swindlers; they forgot to mention that they would do nothing; but they wouldn’t “let it happen” – much like an ostrich at times of trouble throws its head into the Sand.

The Arab leaders should be ashamed; how can they look at their Children; when their children in Gaza are being murdered left, right and center?

Is there no longer any conscience left in the world?  Have we got such blackened hearts that we can’t feel the pain of the Children of Palestine?

May God Hasten the Return of our Master, the son of Hasan al-Askari(AJ) who will fill the Earth with Justice and Equity as it is filled with Injustice and Tyranny, Amen.

Warm Regards,

Shabbir

This dua is narrated on the authority of the seventh Imam Musa al-Kadhim, peace he upon him, and it is said that it is a very effective supplication, having all the merits of al Jawshan al Kabir.

It is recommended to recite this supplication during times of extreme hardship, strife and tribulation; such as those being suffered by the innocents in the face of the Israeli genocide of Gaza.

The video below is the entire Dua in Arabic, you can listen to the Arabic, and follow the English translation below:

Dua Jawshan as-Sagheer

[1]

My God, many an enemy drew up the sword of hostility against me, honed the dagger’s edge, sharpened the arrows’ points, made ready deadly poisons, levelled his bow at me, and, keeping an eye on me, harboured evil thoughts to force me to swallow, against my will, the deadly bitter poison.

Thou came to know that I am too weak to bear hardships and too exhausted to withstand misfortunes, and took notice of my shortcoming that I cannot confront the enemy who had planned to attack me, and perceived my isolation amid the multitude of gathering enemies, sitting in ditches, ready to pounce upon me, while I gave no thought to sitting in ambush and retaliating.

So with Thy might, Thou came to stand by me, and Thy help made me strong and disappointed him in spite of the larger number [of his forces], by rendering his weapons unserviceable. And Thou gave me the upper hand over him by catching him in the very trap he laid for me, and threw him into the abyss he dug for me, and gave no hand to his grudging deed, and did not allow him to assuage the fury of his anger. Biting his thumb, he turned back on his heels, and his comrades, ashamed, dispersed in haste.

So praise be to Thee, O Lord, in [Thy] invulnerable Omnipotence, and prudent Forbearance. Bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and let me be among those who thank Thee for Thy bounties and remember Thee for Thy favours.

[2]

My God, many a disobedient tyrant has tried treacherously to oppress me, has laid traps to catch me, was continuously spying on me, and, like a beast of prey who lies in wait for his prey, has tried to surprise me, whereas in public he received me with open arms and a welcoming smile on his face, as if innocent.

So when Thou took notice of his clandestine trickery and foul play and the fact that in spite of professing the same faith he was devising schemes to injure me, then Thou contemptuously caught hold of him and threw him down headlong, completely destroying him; after which he found himself in the ditch he had dug for me, smeared with the dust below his feetypoverty and disease overtook him. Thus Thou rewarded him in kind by making the stones and arrows he hurled at me rebound upon him, and by putting his own rope around his neck. Shame and disappointment came upon him, he suffered disgrace and dishonour, his pride and arrogance gave way to humility, his power turned into helplessness, and finally, at the last moment, when he was sure to overwhelm me, he fell into his own trap and was caught and bound with the rope made for me in the days of his authority.

In fact it was me who would have suffered likewise if Thou, O my Lord, had not come to my rescue with Thy mercy.

So praise be to Thee, O Lord, in [Thy] invulnerable Omnipotence, and prudent Forbearance. Bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and let me be among those who thank Thee for Thy bounties and remember Thee for Thy favours.

[3]

My God, many an envier, sick in his throat with grudges and choked up with anger, has cast a slur on me in an attempt to hurt me with his loose talk and to brand me unfairly with his own defects, slyly frowned upon me, exposed my integrity to his insinuating remarks, and wrongly put the burden of his sins on my shoulders. Therefore, I called upon Thee, O my Lord, expecting to receive Thy help, believing in Thy prompt response, confident of Thy immediate action to disperse the affliction, a fact of which I have always been aware, and knowing full well that whoever comes under Thy merciful protection is never betrayed, and whoever turns to Thee for help is never turned out. So Thou preserved me in safety from the harm of his threats, and through Thy All-Prevailing Power put an end to his evil schemes.

So praise be to Thee, O Lord, in [Thy] invulnerable Omnipotence, and prudent Forbearance. Bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and let me be among those who thank Thee for Thy bounties and remember Thee for Thy favours.

[4]

My God, many a dark cloud bearing sorrow and misery has been dispersed by Thee; Thy blessings have dropped from the heavens like gentle rain, and Thy favours have flowed like abounding rivers; Thou hast dried up the source of misfortune, bestowed extra benefits, made available reliable protection, kept away violent calamities, and set forth events [in my favour], in strict compliance with Thy commands, never going wayward, and moving on the appointed course, never overstepping.

So praise be to Thee, O Lord, in [Thy] invulnerable Omnipotence, and prudent Forbearance. Bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and let me be among those who thank Thee for Thy bounties and remember Thee for Thy favours.

My God, many a hopeful expectation I cherished which Thou realized; and Thou blocked the inroad of poverty into my life, neutralized the severity of mortal calamities, and removed many a hardship.

Thou art not accountable for what Thou does, whereas others are. Thou give out everything but never run short of anything. Thou bestow whenever beseeched, and many a time takes the initiative. Thy benefaction never falls short of expectations. It is not for Thee, O Lord, to be less than rewarding, obliging, benevolent, and beneficent.

Although Thou went on bestowing benefits, favours, and bounties, I failed to observe Thy prohibitions, took liberties, and, unmindful of Thy warnings, gave in to my adversary and did not oppose Thy enemy.

My God and my helper, I was guilty of not being thankful for Thy beneficence, because of which I could not prevent myself making mistakes.

My God, here stands Thy humble servant, who knows and testifies that Thou art one, and makes admission of falling short of discharging his duty towards Thee, and gives evidence of Thy countless blessings and excellent kindness and abundant good. So, my God, my Master, mercifully give me what I want through Thy mercy, so that I may aspire for Thy mercy, and through it reach the height where Thy approval is available and where there is freedom from Thy displeasure, in the name of Thy Might and overswaying Power, and for the sake of Thy Prophet, Muhammad, may the blessings of Allah be upon him and upon his family.

So praise be to Thee, O Lord, in [Thy] invulnerable Omnipotence, and prudent Forbearance. Bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and let me be among those who thank Thee for Thy bounties and remember Thee for Thy favours.

[6]

My God, many a living being suffers the constant agony of death, day in, day out, and hears the rattling sound passing through his gasping throat. What he stands face to face with makes his heart tremble with fear, and a cold feverish shivering runs through the body, but I am kept free from this terrible experience.

So praise be to Thee, O Lord, in [Thy] invulnerable Omnipotence, and prudent Forbearance. Bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and let me be among those who thank Thee for Thy bounties and remember Thee for Thy favours.

[7]

My God, many a living being is ailing, day in, day out, suffering pain, on the threshold of death, restless and crying in anguish, finding no relief. Neither food nor drinks pass easily down his throat, both are tasteless, but I am safe and sound, living a peaceful and easy life, on account of Thy kind attention and care.

So praise be to Thee, O Lord, in [Thy] invulnerable Omnipotence, and prudent Forbearance. Bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and let me be among those who thank Thee for Thy bounties and remember Thee for Thy favours.

[8]

My God, many a living being is constantly in fear, terrified, sleepless, forsaken, alone, timid, fugitive, exiled, petrified, caught in distress, running away in frustration, and in the wide world, there is no place to rest for a while, neither can devise or find a way out, or escape, but I am safe, secure, satisfied, and comfortable.

So praise be to Thee, O Lord, in [Thy] invulnerable Omnipotence, and prudent Forbearance. Bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and let me be among those who thank Thee for Thy bounties and remember Thee for Thy favours.

[9]

My God and Master, many a living being is oppressed and kept prisoner, day after day, under the harsh control of ruthless enemies and infidels, separated from his family and children, cut off from his friends and home, imagining how death will come, and how torture will beset him, but I am safe from all this.

So praise be to Thee, O Lord, in [Thy] invulnerable Omnipotence, and prudent Forbearance. Bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and let me be among those who thank Thee for Thy bounties and remember Thee for Thy favours.

[10]

My God, many a living being is constantly in the midst of fierce wars, and is challenged in the battlefield. Surrounded by the armed enemy on all sides, shaking feverishly inside his armour, trying desperately to use artifices and schemes to get out of a tight situation, yet finding none is finally reduced to pieces with cuts and wounds, falling down on the ground in the pool of his own blood, struggling in vain under the pounding hooves and boots to lay hands on water, or to have a glimpse of those dear to him, but I am safe from all this.

[11]

So praise be to Thee, O Lord, in [Thy] invulnerable Omnipotence, and prudent Forbearance. Bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and let me be among those who thank Thee for Thy bounties and remember Thee for Thy favours.

My God, many a living being, day in, day out, drifts over the perilous seas, in the midst of terrifying hurricanes and surging waves, sure of death by drowning, yet is unable to attain safety. There are others who are hit by lightning, or buried alive under destroyed buildings, or consumed by fire, or thrown into deep waters, or suffocated, or drowned, or emaciated, or stoned to death. But I am safe from all this.

So praise be to Thee, O Lord, in [Thy] invulnerable Omnipotence, and prudent Forbearance. Bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and let me be among those who thank Thee for Thy bounties and remember Thee for Thy favours.

[12]

My God, many a living being journeys in foreign lands, far away from kith and kin, wandering in frustration, alone, lost among the beasts and reptiles, unable to find a way out, enduring the torture of extreme cold, heat, and thirst, stripped of clothing, in addition to many other hardships which I have been spared.

So praise be to Thee, O Lord, in [Thy] invulnerable Omnipotence, and prudent Forbearance. Bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and let me be among those who thank Thee for Thy bounties and remember Thee for Thy favours

My God and Master, many a living being is poor, needy, exposed, unemployed, trembling, striving, afraid, starving, thirsty, and looking for someone who may lend a hand, or expecting that one of Thy more devoted and close servants will come to his rescue, subdued by the heavy load of hard labour, tired from burdensome servitude, short of provisions, encumbered with taxes, surrounded by terrible calamities, and cannot turn to anyone but Thee to driving away disasters, but I have men who obey me, I enjoy a pleasant life, I am privileged and honoured, and I am safe from his misfortunes.

So praise be to Thee, O Lord, in [Thy] invulnerable Omnipotence, and prudent Forbearance. Bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and let me be among those who thank Thee for Thy bounties and remember Thee for Thy favours.

[14]

My God and Master, many a living being, day in, day out, wanders in exile, dismayed, bewildered, hungry, and scared, cut off from civilization, lost in deserts and jungles, burnt by the scorching sun and withered away by extreme cold, deprived of comforts, lifeless, reduced to abject humiliation, and looks at reality in frustration, having no control over gain or loss, but I am free from all this on account of Thy Generosity and Kindness.

There is no God save Thee, O Lord, in [Thy] invulnerable Omnipotence, and prudent Forbearance. Bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and let me be among those who thank Thee for Thy bounties and remember Thee for Thy favours, and have mercy on me, through Thy mercy, O Most Merciful.

[15]

My God, my Lord and my Master, many a living being is constantly disabled, sick, ailing, bedridden by chronic disease, writhing with pain under the bedsheets, knowing not what the taste of food or drinks is, and looks at reality in frustration, having no control over gain or loss, but I am free from all this, on account of Thy Generosity and Kindness.

[16]

My God, my Lord, my Master, many a living being, day in, day out, lies on his deathbed, in the clutches of the angel of death; and in the hour of death, among his friends, looks about, right and left, silently directing his attention upon his comrades, colleagues, and dear ones, not able to talk to and prevented from conversing, and looks at reality in frustration, having no control over gain or loss, but I am free from all this on account of Thy Generosity and Kindness.

[17]

My God, my Lord and my Master, many a living being, day after day, is kept a prisoner in narrow gloomy corners, crying, groaning, humiliated, chained, insulted, harshly treated, pushed around, not knowing what is lying in wait or what punishment will be inflicted to set an example; deprived of comforts, short of provisions, he looks at reality in frustration, having no control over gain or loss, but I am free from all this, on account of Thy Generosity, and Kindness.

[18]

My God, my Lord and my Master, many a living being is permanently bound to the unalterable destiny of death which surrounds him on all sides; set apart from friends, colleagues, near and dear ones, he is a petty and meek slave in the hands of non-believing enemies, who hold him by the leash and keep him in chains, locked up in dark and damp underground holes from where he cannot see the bright and beautiful world; and he looks at reality in frustration, having no control over gain or loss; but I am free from all this on account of Thy Generosity and Kindness.

[19]

My God, my Lord and my Master, many a living being, dayin, day out, runs after mundane interests, until greed of worldly gains lands him in trouble, and [he is like one who] jumps into a boat and find it breaking into many pieces, and from the cruel waves of the sea look at reality in frustration, having no control over gain or loss.

And I am free from all this on account of Thy Generosity and Thy Kindness. So there is no god save Thee, glory be to Thee in [Thy] invulnerable omnipotence and unhurried forbearance. Send blessings on Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and let me be among those who thank Thee for Thy bounties and remember Thee for Thy favours, and have mercy on me, through Thy mercy, O Most Merciful.

[20]

My God, My Lord and my Master, many a living being is permanently bound to the unchangeable destiny of death, and is surrounded by ill luck; infidels and enemies, with spears, swords, and arrows, come suddenly upon him and throw him to the ground which sucks up his blood, and beasts and birds of prey devour his flesh; but I am free from all this on account of Thy Generosity and Kindness, though I do not deserve Thy favour.

[21]

And in the name of Thy Authority and Majesty, O Generous One, I beg repeatedly for what is with Thee, and turn to Thee, and I humbly beseech Thee with outstretched hands, hands which have sinned. So I take refuge with Thee only, O my Lord, because otherwise whose protection may I seek? Unto whom may I turn for shelter? Therefore, I come under Thy protection, and I devote myself entirely to Thee, and to no one else. Wilt Thou turn me out? Thou art my last resort. I rely upon Thee and beseech Thee in Thy name which set up the heavens, made the earth stable and steady, elevated the mountains, overshadowed the night, and illuminated the day.

Bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad; and satisfy all my wants, and forgive all my major and minor sins, and give me sufficient livelihood so that I may win distinction in this world and the next, O Most Merciful.

[22]

My Master, I seek Thy help; bless Muhammad and his family, and give me Thy patronage.

I turn to Thee; so keep me fully satisfied with [Thy] recompense, so that I may serve Thee and beseech Thee, instead of going to others; and give me honourable sufficiency in place of dishonourable poverty, and substitute the weakness of disobedience with the strength of obedience.

Thou has given me preference over many a creature, and bestowed upon me favours and benefits, although I did not deserve them.

My God, praise be to Thee for all this, bless Muhammad and on the family of Muhammad, and let me be like those who thank Thee for [Thy] bounties and remember Thee for Thy favours; and have mercy on me, through Thy Mercy, O Most Merciful.

Then Prostrate and recite the following:

The lowly and meek turns his face towards the Highest and the Mightiest.

The withered mortal forehead prostrates before the Everlasting, the Everliving.

The impoverished forehead prostrates before the Richest and the Greatest.

Prostrate before the Lord of the worlds, O my face, ears, eyes, flesh, blood, skin, and bones, and all that which is mine on this earth.

My God, give me Thy indulgence in return for my ignorance, in return for my poverty Thy Plenty, in return for my helplessness Thy Power and Authority, in return for my weakness Thy Strength, in return for my fear Thy Amnesty, in return for my offenses and errors Thy Forgiveness and Mercy, O Beneficent, O merciful.

O my God, with Thy help I will drive away misfortunes towards . . . [Mention here the name of your enemy with his father’s name], and take refuge with Thee from his mischief. So keep me safe from him, as Thou kept safe Thy pious prophets and close friends among Thy creatures from the clutches of the disobedient Pharaohs; and I seek Thy shelter from the evil of all created things, through Thy Mercy, O Most Merciful.

Verily Thou art able to do all things, and for us Allah is sufficient, [He] is the best protector.

In His Name, the Lord of the Martyrs, the Righteous and the Truthful;

In His Name, the Lord of Husayn(A), the Lord of Ali(A) the son of Husayn(A); the Lord of the Family of Husayn(A); the Lord of the Companions of Husayn(A):

In these trying times – December 2008 – when the people of Gaza are being massacred by the Israeli Genocide Machine; it is important for all the Muslims to remember and pray for the people and those defending Gaza and Palestine and elsewhere against those who wish them harm.

In the Sahifa as-Sajjadiyyah al-Kamila of Imam Ali ibn al-Husayn, Zayn al-Abedeen(A) (also known as the Psalms of Islam); we find a very beautiful supplication; called the Supplication for the People of the Frontiers, which is presented here with a very beautiful Arabic recitation from al-Manar TV; along with the English translation:

Dua Ahl ath-Thugur (People of the Frontiers) - Dua #27 from Sahifa as-Sajjadiyyah

O God,
bless Muhammad and his Household,
fortify the frontiers of the Muslims through Thy might,
support their defenders through Thy strength,
and lavish upon them gifts through Thy wealth!

O God,
bless Muhammad and his Household,
increase their number,
hone their weapons,
guard their territory,
defend their midst,
unite their throng,
arrange their affair,
send them supplies in a steady string,
undertake Thyself to suffice them with provisions,
support them with victory,
help them with patience,
and give them subtlety in guile!

O God,
bless Muhammad and his Household,
give them the knowledge of that of which they are ignorant,
teach them what they do not know,
and show them what they do not see!

O God,
bless Muhammad and his Household,
make them forget when they meet the enemy
to remember this cheating and delusive world of theirs,
erase from their hearts the thought of enchanting possessions,
place the Garden before their eyes,
and display to their sight that part of it
which Thou hast prepared for them
- the homes of everlastingness and mansions of honour,
the beautiful houris,
the rivers gushing forth with all sorts of drinks,
the trees hanging, low with all kinds of fruits -
lest any of them think of turning his back
or suggest to himself to flee his opponent!

O God,
defeat their enemy through that,
trim their nails from them,
separate them from their weapons,
pull out the firm ties from their hearts,
keep them far away from their stores,
bewilder them in their roads,
turn them astray from their direction,
cut off reinforcements from them,
chop them down in numbers,
fill their hearts with terror,
hold back their hands from stretching forth,
tie back their tongues from speaking,
scatter by them the ones behind them
make them a lesson for those beyond them,
and through their degradation
cut off the hopes of those who come after them!

O God,
make the wombs of their women barren,
dry up the loins of their men,
cut off the breeding of their mounts and their cattle,
and permit not their sky to rain
or their earth to grow!

O God, through that
strengthen the prowess of the People of Islam,
fortify their cities,
increase their properties,
give them ease
from their fighting
to worship Thee
and from their warfare
to be alone with Thee,
so that none will be worshipped
in the regions of the earth but Thee
and no forehead of theirs may be rubbed in dust
for less than Thee!

O God,
send out the Muslims of every region on raids against
the idolaters who face them!
Reinforce them with angels in ranks from Thee,
till the idolaters are routed by them to the end of the land,
slain in Thy earth or taken captive,
or till they admit that Thou art God,
other than whom there is no god,
Thou alone, who hast no associate!

O God,
include in this Thy enemies in the regions of the lands,
and the rest of the idol-worshipping nations,
those whose names and attributes are concealed,
but whom Thou countest in Thy cognizance
and overseest through Thy power!

O God,
distract the idolaters from reaching for the borders of the Muslims
through the idolaters,
bar them from cutting them down
through being cut down,
and hold them back from massing together against them
through dissension!

O God,
empty their hearts of security
and their bodies of strength,
distract their hearts from thinking of stratagems,
make their limbs too feeble for clashing with men,
make them too cowardly for contending with champions,
send against them a troop of Thy angels
with some of Thy severity …

O God,
empty their hearts of security
and their bodies of strength,
distract their hearts from thinking of stratagems,
make their limbs too feeble for clashing with men,
make them too cowardly for contending with champions,
send against them a troop of Thy angels
with some of Thy severity
as Thou didst on the Day of Badr,
so that through it Thou mayest
cut off their roots,
harvest their thorns,
and disperse their number!

O God,
mix their waters with pestilence
and their foods with maladies,
hurl down their cities,
harass them with peltings,
hinder them through drought,
place their supplies in the most ill-omened part of Thy earth
and the farthest from them,
bar them from its fortresses,
and strike them with constant hunger and painful illness!

O God,
if a warrior from the people of Thy creed
wars against them
or a struggler from the followers of Thy prescriptions
struggles against them
so that Thy religion may be the highest,
Thy party the strongest,
and Thy share the fullest,
cast ease to him,
arrange his affair,
attend to him by granting success,
select for him his companions,
strengthen his back,
lavish upon him livelihood,
give him enjoyment of joyous vitality,
cool for him the heat of yearning,
give him sanctuary from the gloom of loneliness,
make him forget the remembrance of wife and child,
pass along to him an excellent intention,
attend to him with well-being,
make safety his companion,
release him from cowardice,
inspire him with boldness,
provide him with strength,
support him with help,
teach him right conduct and the norms of the Sunna,
point him straight in judgement,
remove from him hypocrisy,
purify him from seeking fame,
and make his thinking and remembrance,
his departing and his staying,
be in Thee and for Thee!
When he stands in ranks before Thy enemy and his enemy,
make them few in his eye,
diminish their importance in his heart,
give him a turn to prevail over them,
not them a turn to prevail over him!
But if Thou sealest him with felicity
and decreest for him martyrdom,
then let it be after
he has exterminated Thy enemies by slaying,
captivity has afflicted them,
the borders of the Muslims are secure,
and Thy enemy has turned his back in flight!

O God,
and if a Muslim should
take the place of a warrior or a soldier in his home,
attend to those left behind in his absence,
help him with a portion of his property,
assist him with equipment,
hone him for the struggle,
send along with him a supplication for his purpose,
or guard his honour in his absence,
reward him with the like of his reward
measure for measure,
like for like,
and recompense him for his act with an immediate compensation
through which he will hasten to
the profit of what he has sent forth
and the joy of what he has given,
till the present moment takes him to
the bounty Thou hast granted to him
and the generosity Thou hast prepared for him!

O God,
and if the affair of Islam
should worry a Muslim
and the alliance of the idolaters’ against Islam
should grieve him,
so that he has the intention to go to war
and is about to enter the struggle,
but frailty keeps him seated,
neediness keeps him waiting,
a mishap delays him,
or an obstruction prevents him from his wish,
write his name
among the worshipers,
make incumbent for him
the reward of the strugglers,
and place him among the ranks
of the martyrs and the righteous!

O God,
bless Muhammad, Thy slave and Thy messenger,
and the Household of Muhammad,
with a blessing high above all other blessings,
towering beyond all other salutations,
a blessing whose end is never reached
and whose number is never cut off,
like the most perfect of Thy blessings that has passed
to any one of Thy friends!
Thou art All-kind, Praiseworthy,
the Originator who takes back again,
Accomplisher of what Thou desirest.

Please don’t forget the oppressed throughout the world in your supplications and prayers; we might not be able to help them directly in anyway; but be sure that Allah has promised – and He never breaks His promise; that if a believer calls unto Him and asks him to solve an issue; you can be sure that Allah IS LISTENING AND WILL ASSIST.

If you cast your minds back to the events of the 33 day war in July 2006 that Israel waged against Lebanon; it was because of the power of Dua – the power of supplication and beseeching Allah for assistance – that resulting in the amazing victory of the Islamic Resistance against the Zionist Invasion Forces.

Also; please don’t forget to pray for the speedy return of our Master(AJ); al-Hujjah ibn al-Hasan(AJ); the one who will fill the Earth with Justice and Equality; as it is filled with Injustice and Tyranny!

With Salaams and Dua’s

The Vigil - Seal of the Prophets - Debut Single

To get an idea of the music; these talented artists have made their lyrics available at http://www.thevigil.net/downloads/lyricbooklet.pdf – I’m sure once you’ve had a quick read of the lyrics and seen the video you’ll want the entire album; which realy is truely awesome; and in my view represents a revolution in fusing Islamic or Eastern themes with the English lyrics to produce a truly remarkable album.

The tracks on the album are as follows; I’ve also included the lyrics here for ease of reference:

1 – We Are Here (Intro)

This track is an introduction to the band and who they are, and why and how they came to be.

That day, I didn’t know what to say, but now I have no doubt in my heart,

A light shined in Arabia
The stars and heavens smiled
Enchanting calls from the peninsula
God’s religion is revived

Regarding how this track came to be:

…this track just came at a whim, it just flowed

3 - The Infallibles

Glistening in the serene night
The dome of the Pure
Entanglements of vivid light
Palace of divine cures
Through time never heard such a chime
Through time
The voices of the infallibles
The most revered, the most lovable (chorus)
Euphoric smells of lavender
Flow in the heavenly shrines
Euphoric smells of amber
Flow in the heavenly shrines
Devote feelings emerge ample
Purity so lucid it shines

(chorus)

Bewilderment and awe
That is all what the eye sees
In the resting places of the unflawed
The devout for prayer kneels
Calls of God’s Grace

Heard echoing in the chambers
Visions of the infallible’s face
In hearts of believers …

The voices of the infallibles
The most revered, the most lovable

The most lovable …

(chorus)

Regarding how this track came to be:

Hadi had been spending some
time thinking of how it would feel to be near a shrine of
some Wali or Imam at night… how would we describe such
a night… that was how this came to be. Soon after Ahmad
composed the music, which took us by surprise, Rashad
joined us in singing It: the experience was great. This was
the third track we recorded for this album (year 2004)

5 - Inevitable (Monologue)

I pause time amidst my chaos
Because any second now, I’ll get my life-time layoff
I search around, pondering what shall I find?
In an area not rendered in space, nor in time, not understood by the mere human mind
I play along, in this prewritten scenario
hoping that stardom in this act will make me glow
I seem to be grasping (but am not) every concept of this status
But only one Divine, can conceive it, who else than the One Who created us!
Again bedazzled by this awe-eliciting moment
Mesmerized, a contemplation evading me, the thought to repent
why should it come now, it’s too late!
I’m surpassed now, trampled by my fate
Although by letting time stand still
I can sort out my anarchy, bedlam & pandemonium, till I’m fed up- till I get my fill
But a force impedes me, leaving me powerless
Not a twitch not a muscle, I’m sheepish I confess
Consumed by the trepidation of this moment
Not knowing how to repent
How might I escape this “Alcatraz” this prison?
This state is neither a game, not a play, not even a liaison
It’s the turmoil that lacerates my flimsy being
That blinds me, making me not capable of seeing
Seeing that even if I pause time as long as I can
I’ll die directly after that, because I am damned!!!!

Regarding how this track came to be:

Back in 2002, Hadi recorded this
for a school project… and, well, it’s still like
that ever since …

6 – O’rshalim

Blessed is the flower
which grows upon the thorns
And drinks from divine blood
You are my power of salvation
In time of the flood [x2]

My flower is unlike any other
Golden Golden
Golden Radiance in its heart
An ascent an ascent
An ascent to paradise
To paradise
Today cities dethrone you
Today history smirks at me
But your crown is undeniable
The future [x3]

It begs of me!
Skies will weep
Will weep will weep
The earth will speak
will speak
Skies will weep
Will weep will weep
The earth will speak

Will speak
The trees
Will stare into your eyes and say
You shall be mine [x3]

My flower
Drinks from divine blood
It shall rise again
Beautiful again
Unique again

Regarding how this track came to be:

in this track we let Anas do the
base tune and lyrics… so officially this is his
own baby… it took some time to be, then
Anas and Ahmad worked on it to get it to
what it had to be.. due to the fact that this
file that you are hearing is one of the demos
since all the files got ripped by the Israeli war
machine… and we had no time and resources
to work on it ’cos Anas is in China currently.
(recorded year 2005)

8 – The Mystic

The mystic lit up the space around
opened our minds to a realm unbound
with words fervent and illumed
liberated our eyes from gloom

[Farsi]
roohe erfane ka2beye janha
sham2e vejdane mounese delha
deleman zenegahetoshud sheyda
nushamaz kelamet jame delrabara [x2]

Talked from afar to our hearts
laid the seeds of freedom
land of the living dead we depart
to the everlight’s kingdom
He whispered the truth
his voice could be heard
wonder if he normally talked
wouldn’t the evil then be burned

[Arabic]
Ya Man 7ubbuka hazza kayani
walimalakut allah da3ani
7ubbuka unsun qad a7yani
3eshta birou7i wa fi wejdani [x2]

The new wave beguiled all
all those who have a soul
as for those who don’t
took an offensive role
That stance is still here
though his being is not
his spirit is what they fear
that’s what in us they fought

[repeat Arabic chorus]

in us lies a small mystic
that seed of freedom
a change to the world so drastic
it will bring to us the everlight’s kingdom [x2]

[repeat Farsi chorus]

Regarding how this track came to be:

This track has grave significance cuz we
attempted to mix the farsi style with english, in additional
to some arabic lyrics.. this was recorded 3 to 4 times due to
creative differences, technicalities, and the war on lebanon.
recorded in 2005 and 2006 and 2007.

9 – The Passion

The passion Has been shot, Shot Dead in the hearts of men…
The passion Has been shot
Shot Dead in the hearts of men
Pain is what the children are taught
From the day they start holding a pen [x3]

This is the school of life
But whose life do we persevere
Is it the one in which in a normal day we strive
Or is it the one in which we in God believe
What has this world reached?
What have we gotten ourselves too?
What have we allowed to be preached?
What has this world made us into?
Put your hand with mine
To work for a better world
Let the sun’s dreadlocks shine
Over & Over [x2]

Watch how together we will rise
Rise for a change
A change to the best

Look using your heart
And not your eyes
For then you will surpass the Ultimate Test!
The passion in us
Will return
Resurrected!
To its rightful throne
Respect!
Is what will be learned….
By the children
By the children
Who have grown

Regarding how this track came to be:

The world is becoming a cold and harsh place…
People need hope, that’s exactly why this came to be…
Also recorded twice due to the files being destroyed during the
war on lebanon.
Recorded in 2006 and 2007.

10 - Running Free

Taking me to areas unknown
World of distant anarchy
In my heart my soul just asks for
World of simple excellency [Intro]
running free from acts of scorning
Being clean that’s what I wanting
Holding in thought of believing
On a straight road made for glory [x2]
Holding in sadness just after
Holding on to heartfelt laughter
For I passed in heavy torture
And won over sheer ambiguity
Steering me to the believers
My heart calling and not falling
Just reaching means of teaching
For the sake of getting purity
(Chorus)
The path is straight yet hard to travel
my destiny awaits to be unraveled
My eyes are blind!

Yet I can see
The road that lays
There before me
Placebo just made to help once
Flattery will surely aid none
Till I move closer to being done
With the wrong doings of tretchury
Stands for whom I can only sue
Creeping on me while I’m on glue
Also thinking of what to do
With invaders of my privacy
[Chorus]
[Intro]

11 – Rise (Bonus Track)

No words to declare
No words to be heard
In silence I feel the rage
No woes to declare
No woes to be heard
In resonance I leave this cage
Round I see eyes shimmering
Like stars in a dark night
Round I see deception blazing
Like wrongs made right
Round I see destruction overwhelming
Like erosion all in sight
Rise from beneath the ashes
Rise from deep down low
Stand with honor and status
Stand without death row
Rise from beneath the ashes
Clean the dust on you
Clean that pain forever and ever away [Chorus]
Oh dear land rise in a posture
Defying the fascist notions
Rise (Lebanon rise) with awe and honor
An example for awakening nations

[Chorus] [x2]

Regarding how this track came to be:

During the war Hadi wrote this piece as a reaction
to what he was feeling, then during talks with Sara, they managed
to give it a tune.. soon after, ahmad was on the arrangement
process.. then it got recorded.. and now its for you to listen…
Rise… from beneath the ashes…

12 – See You Around (Outro)

This track is the banding signing off …

(Available from Doxmart – The Vigil – See You Around (Outro))

That’s it – twelve awesome tracks – written during times of great hardship when bombs were falling on Beirut on account of an illegal aggression by Lebanon’s neighbor to the south, a battle which saw the resistance of the the Lebanese people victorious; a resistance which joined people of all faiths and creeds in a war-torn land, that saw Christian, Druze, Muslim, and others all work hard together to defend their land from an illegal invasion, and ultimate is testament to the spirit of humanity.

I would recommend this album to all, regardless of your background, be it to a Muslim, to a Christian, to a Jew, to an Agnostic, or any one following any of the many faiths on our planet.  This album shows revives the human spirit.

Each of the lyrics make one ponder and reflect on both your own personal and individual situation as well as the situation of the world as a whole, totally awesome!

Very highly recommended.

If you want to buy all the tracks in one go; you can goto their album at Doxmart and add the tracks to your basket and enjoy.

You can – as mentioned previously – the lyric book (PDF Format) from here.

With Salaams and Dua’s,
