Once again, the month of Muharram is upon us, during this blessed month, the Muslims remember the sacrifice of the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad(S), Imam Husayn ibn Ali(A).
This month, in association with Sharikatul Husayn Saturday Workshop, the Imam Husayn(A) Masjed in Leicester and Karbala.com, Islamic Digest presents a series of notes on Muharram, and lessons regarding Muharram. (The lessons are designed for children aged 12 and under, and would also be useful to new Muslims wishing to learn about Muharram).

Safar-e-Karbala (Ard at-Taff in Urdu with English Subtitles)
We also now have the film Safar-e-Karbala, which is essentially an Urdu Dubbed / English Subtitled Remix of the well known Ard at-Taff Arabic Film about the event of Ashura.
The film gives a visual rendition (through the use of animation technologies) of the lead up to the event of Ashura and the martyrdom of Aba Abdillah al-Husayn(A).

You can find the English language lectures delivered by Shaykh Hamza Sodagar(HA) at the al-Mahdi(AJ) Centre in Toronto, Canada in the Media Gallery. Currently they are all in the form of Windows Media Videos, but we are working on converting them over to mp3 files also and as the work is completed, you will find the appropriate files therein.
